The Downward Spiral

Vernon married Dee Stanley, a woman he had met in Germany, and moved out of Graceland into a small house nearby. The young Priscilla Beaulieu moved into Graceland shortly afterward. Elvis was crazy about Priscilla. He gave her anything she wanted. He enrolled her in a private Catholic girls’ high school. She graduated in 1963.

Elvis taught Priscilla to be his ideal woman. He chose her wardrobe, and she dyed her hair jet black to match his, wearing it in a complicated beehive. This did not mean that Elvis stopped seeing other girls, however.
