Elvis, What Happened?
“if I Can Dream”
“If I Can Dream” had been written especially for the '68 Comeback Special, and after the special aired, the single shot to number twelve on the music charts. It was his first million-dollar record in three years. The special's sound track climbed the charts to number eight.
Elvis was so excited with this success that he wanted to record music and tour again. However, he had a contract for three more movies. After these movies, the only Elvis movies that came out were performance documentaries.
