Elvis, What Happened?
Back In The Studio
Elvis went into the recording studio in Memphis and was amazingly productive. He recorded “In the Ghetto,” “Suspicious Minds,” and “Don't Cry Daddy.” They all became number-one singles. Then Elvis went back to touring and performing for live audiences.
Colonel Parker was not too happy with Elvis's decision to do live performances again. They had a big argument. Elvis stuck to his guns, even though the Colonel threatened to quit. The Colonel, in fact, did not quit, and Elvis took to the stage once again.
