Hall Of Fame Honors
In 1989, Stevie Wonder was chosen by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is in Cleveland, Ohio. It was started in 1985 as a way of remembering the musicians who helped build rock and roll music and the business of rock and roll. At the Hall of Fame, fans find memorabilia and exhibits honoring hall of famers, and are able to listen to music from the last fifty years.
Stevie Wonder accepted his Hall of Fame honors in New York City. He told the crowd that he felt blessed to have given so much beauty to the world in the form of music. The crowd of fans and musical peers gave Stevie a standing ovation.
